Format and Rules
Three Round Tournament
- Lowest "net" score wins. Net score obtained by reducing your round score by your handicap. Handicaps at a .5 and up, round up. .4 and down, round down. eg: 18.4 is an 18. 13.5 is a 14.
- Handicaps locked by date previously agreed upon.
- Pairings will be randomly determined prior to tee off of the first round. The final round will be paired by placement.
Betting
- $100 per person.
- 1st place: $800/2nd place: $300/3rd place: $100. Please bring cash!
- Any and all side bets welcomed and encouraged. We will have a betting sheet for each player to track individual bets with each other.
- Again, please have cash ready to settle at the end of each round. No IOU's unless a press carries over to the next round as agreed by betting partners.
- Paramutual betting will be capped at $20 per player per round. 1st round worth 4 units, 2nd round worth 2 units and 3rd round worth 1 unit.
Rules
- *NEW* The player has an extra option allowing relief outside the bunker using the back-on-the-line procedure, but for a total of two penalty strokes
- All putts must be putted out. The ball must see the bottom of the cup. 5 stroke penalty if not, unless the caddy says to pick up your ball after 12 strokes.
- Any tee shot suspected of being lost or OB (white staked) can be laterally dropped, 2 club lengths from first line of entry into woods or OB, no closer to the hole. When in doubt seek guidance from playing partners.
- Each player's score must be kept by his playing partner. Score cards will be provided.
- Ball must be played as it lies in the rough but can be moved a scorecard sized area in the fairway.
- Drinking is highly encouraged.
- Drinking White Claws is not!
Awards
- Ceremony immediately following the final round.
- Winner of the lowest Net 3 rounds gets the Sixty Degrees of Separation trophy and the winners Jacket presented by last years winner. Your name will be known by all in the golfing world.
- Winner of the lowest "gross" round over any of the 3 rounds will be presented with a gift for their herculean efforts to overcome fatigue, massive hangovers, late nights and unhealthy food choices.
- The annual "Soul Snatcher" award will be presented to the golfer (term used loosely) who has the highest score on one hole over all 3 rounds.
- Lastly, the last place finisher will be recognized for their pathetic efforts to not man up and be better.
